Chinese smartphone major has launched OnePlus 8T 5G in India with quite a few improvements over the standard OnePlus 8 and last year’s OnePlus 7T. The OnePlus 8T is priced at Rs 42,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant and at Rs 45,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. As far as specifications are concerned, OnePlus 8T 5G features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is 28% thinner than the predecessor, and can clock up 1,100 nits of brightness. OnePlus also says that this screen has reduced the emission of the harmful blue light by 40%. OnePlus 8T is powered by the all powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and Adreno 650 GPU paired with X55 modem for 5G support. The new OnePlus device comes with a massive 4,500 mAh battery up from 4,300 mAh on the OnePlus 8 with Warp Charge 65 fast-charging support via USB Type-C. Besides the proprietary Warp Charge, this power brick also supports the USB Power Delivery standard and can output up to 45W, so you can rapidly charge a compatible laptop, a Nintendo Switch and other gadgets.

For optics, OnePlus 8T gets a quad camera setup at the back. There is the 48-MP Sony IMX586 sensor, paired with a 16-MP ultra-wide camera which is a Sony IMX141, a 5-MP macro camera and a 2-MP monochrome lens. The ultra-wide camera at 123-degrees is the widest there has ever been on a OnePlus phone, thus far. OnePlus 8T camera can also automatically switch to Nightscape mode. The front camera stands at 16MP.

Unlike the OnePlus 8 Pro, the OnePlus 8T does not come with an official IP rating for dust and water resistance. However, the phone does have the necessary seals to make it water resistance.

Along with the launch of its latest smartphone in the OnePlus 8 family, the company also unveiled a new colour variant for its recently launched OnePlus Nord – the OnePlus Nord Gray Ash. The new colour variant features a matte finish and comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

OnePlus also launched OnePlus Buds Z and OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z – Bass Edition alongside the OnePlus 8T. While the OnePlus Buds Z are the company’s latest truly wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds, the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z – Bass Edition earphones are designed as a complement to the Bullets Wireless Z in-ear headphones that were launched in April. OnePlus Buds Z price has been set at Rs 3,190 and the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z – Bass Edition are priced in India at Rs 1,999, the same price as the original OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z.
